Some young girls entered a large living room. Just by looking at them, you could tell they were from a village. They kept admiring the beauty and design of the living room. One of them said, "Indeed, the woman of this house must be very happy. Look at her house as if it built itself? A house like a paradise on earth?"
Hajiya Adama replied, "Hey, you people, be quiet. I brought you here to work, not to gossip. Why do you care if the woman of the house is happy or not? Ummita, you better be careful with me. Don't let me see or hear anything untoward. Just do your job properly, and don't spend any of the money you'll be given. Save it until I come to collect it, understand?"
Ummita fell silent when the lady of the house appeared. She looked stunning in her expensive lace dress, which at first glance, you could tell cost a fortune.
Ummita kept staring at the lady as if she would steal her. The lady was so beautiful it seemed like she had made herself. Besides, God had given her wealth.
Before the lady sat down, Hajiya Adama quickly knelt to greet her.
The lady, who was humble, responded with a smile. While she spoke, Ummita kept watching her mouth, noticing that almost three of her teeth were gold.
Ummita sat in deep thought, imagining herself blessed with such wealth. She even felt like getting up and sitting on the couch, claiming she was the lady of the house. But she knew such a thing would never happen, not even if she went mad.
Lost in thought, Hajiya Adama touched her, snapping her back to reality. Ummita quickly lowered her head, feeling like the lady had seen her.
Hajiya Adama smiled and said, "Madam, these are the girls I brought to work for you."
She pointed at Ummita and said, "This one is named Ummita. They are originally Shuwa Arabs who recently arrived in town with nothing and no one. Her mother asked me to find her a job so she can start supporting themselves. The other one is Khairat, Ummita's older sister. They share the same parents."
The beautiful lady smiled and said, "Oh, welcome."
She directed her words to Ummita and Khairat.
As for Ummita, she had not stopped staring at the lady since she first saw her, lost in her youthful and baseless thoughts.
While they were in this state, a beautiful young girl entered the room, though she was not as beautiful as Ummita. She was no older than 16, while Ummita was around 19 and her older sister, probably 22 or more.
Ummita watched the girl, noticing that despite the beauty people ascribe to Shuwa Arabs, this girl surpassed them.????
The girl ran and hugged the beautiful lady, and it was obvious that she was her daughter because of their striking resemblance, except for the girl's youthful features.
The beautiful young girl looked at them and said, "Mom, who are these people?"
She spoke in a spoiled manner, like a little baby. The lady took her hand and laid the girl's head on her lap like a baby.
Ummita stared at them, marveling at the girl's spoiled behavior. An adult being laid on a lap? Truly, wealth can do anything. For her, even if she went mad, she wouldn't dare lay on her mother's lap. In the morning, everyone would go their separate ways to beg, and they would only return at night. Their mother had only given birth to the two of them.
The lady gently stroked her daughter's head affectionately and began to speak kindly, "Baby, this one is named Ummita, and the other one is Khairat.
